Prospective undergraduates interested in studying engineering should apply to Stanford University through the Undergraduate Admission Office.

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree is intended primarily for students who desire a career in research, advanced development or teaching. PhD programs are designed to give students a broad background in mathematics and engineering sciences, together with intensive study and research experience in a specialized area. 

The Master of Science (MS) degree program in Aeronautics and Astronautics is intended for students whose ultimate goal is to pursue a professional career in Aeronautics and Astronautics, or a related field. The MS degree is primarily course-based, and provides a broad, advanced curriculum spanning the core areas of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

The coterminal degree program allows Stanford undergraduates to study for a master's degree while completing their bachelor's degree(s).

Financial aid is offered through fellowship awards, teaching or course assistantships, or loans through the university.
